Mix of own photos and diverse digital tools and techniques (Photoshop + Corel Painter) to achieve this particular image. All photos taken in Quebec city, Canada, during Winter, after an ice rain or ice storm.
This is how I see this mythical place: Tierra del Fuego. To me, this is the Earth in fire (red round shape with a yellow "eye") evolving, or lost, in space.
I always wondered how come this Antartic place, Tierra del Fuego (Spanish for "Land of Fire"), bore a so "warm/hot" name. Here is an explanation coming from different articles of Wikipedia.
