Description
The ship is part of Québec City coat of arms. It represents the ship that brought Samuel de Champlain to Québec City (founded in 1608). Her name is "Don de Dieu" (gift of God). This ship represents also the importance of Québec City as a ship building and naval centre during the XIXe century. The puffy sails represent the determination and bravery of the population.
